Congregation of St. Therese of Lisieux is the first Religious Congregation founded in 1931 in the Syro-Malabar Church in Kerala. The late Archbishop of Ernakulam His Grace Mar Augustine Kandathil was its founder.
The avowed mission of the Congregation encompasses the care and rehabilitation of the orphan boys to impart Technical skill Training and to promote job-oriented courses to the youth and to initiate proactive measures for the integral development of the people of the area. Accordingly scores of Industrial Training Centres are being run by the Congregation in Kerala and several states in the country. Balanagar Technical Institute Association and Manpower Recruitment Agency are also important ventures of the Congregation. The main beneficiaries of this training centres are the socially and economically backward children and the youth. They are able to settle their life through self employment or finding job opportunities in different parts of the country and the overseas.
The Other Humanitarian entities of the Congregation are MAGJ Hospital- a multi speciality health care facility, lisieux School of BSc MLT Para-medical Course, Lisieux BSc Nursing College, MAGJ Ayurkhetra Ayurvedic Treatment, Balanagar Printing Press, CST Welfare Centres, besides a number of school, Boy’s Home, Hostels and social Welfare Institutions in different part of the Country. By God’s grace all these institutions are rendering satisfactory services to the humanity.

The twin important ventures of the Congregation of St. Therese of Lisieux under its Balanagar Technical Institute Association are Balanagar Industrial Training Institute and Balanagar Manpower Recruitment Agency. Over 50 years of relentless efforts in the field of Industrial Technical Education, the Balanagar Technical Institute has been able to win several enviable accolades including the best ITI in the country. This has greatly inspired students to study, teachers to serve and recruitment agencies - especially the foreign recruiters to hire energetic young candidates.
Balanagar Manpower Recruitment Agency, over 25 years of its service especially in overseas recruitment testifies its commitment to the Recruiters and the clients. Situated in a serene and alluring rural village about 2 km off the National High Way, with easy accessibility, free from the hassles and bustles of city life, the Institute has always attracted domestic and overseas recruiters. In order to boost the ongoing skill training programmes, the institute is paying constant attention to ensure state-of-the art infra-structural facilities, highly competent and experienced trainers to mould and equip our young trainees for maximum efficiency.
